Back after four years.

Hi readers.

It feels weird to by typing this post. I’m currently home from university, sitting in bed, catching up on some Youtube videos I’ve missed. A few days ago, I decided to make reading more books my main new years resolution. And it made me think of this blog. Of you guys.

I realised my last real post was in January 2016, memorialising the late great Alan Rickman. In January 2017, I posted again, apologising for my unexplained break and pledging to blog more.

I never did.

So here we are, in January 2020, and I’m writing a post on a blog that I havent’ posted on properly for four years.

Some of you may not know this, but I was just 14 years old when I started this blog. I started it when I first fell in love with reading, and in only a few months it became my own little community to go to for book reviews, discussion and general fangirling. I loved every single minute I spent working on this blog and replying to comments and reading books and watching films just to make sure that you guys had quality content to engage with.

Since 2016, I have dabbled in and out of other blogs on another WordPress account. I tried beauty blogging (three times) to no avail. I loved beauty but have now realised that I am nowhere near passionate enough about it to run an entire blog about the topic. I dipped my toe into lifestyle blogging, which also wasn’t for me.

Recently I have found my rhythm with blogging again. And no, that doesn’t mean posting regularly. You guys know I can’t do that haha.

On my other site, I blog about whatever I want, whenever I want. And I’m slowing falling in love with blogging again.

I’m also slowly falling in love with reading again. I started readingĀ Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas (I know I’mĀ extremely late to the party on that one) but it has really rekindled my love for books, and drawn me back into the book lover community.

So, if you’ve made it this far through my incessant ramblings, I have a question for you.

I want to start book blogging again. Reviews, discussions, wrap-ups, TBRs, book-to-movie updates. The works. Would you rather I start book blogging again on here and pick up where I left off, or move my book blogging to my currently active blog?

I have the same following roughly on each site (if that matters) but I’m really struggling in this decision.

You can comment on this post, or vote on the poll.

If it helps your decision, here is the link to my other blog: www.jemmacandyy.wordpress.com

I’d love your input on this. I’ve missed you. I’m sorry about the break.

Love always,

Jemma

Paper Towns | Movie Review and Discussion

Hello, readers!

Today, in the United Kingdom, the movie adaptation to one of my favourite books ever came out. I was so excited. On the car ride up to the cinema, I couldn’t sit still at all! I was so scared that the movie was going to totally ruin the book for me, or that it was going to be so good that I would just forget about the boo and keep rewatching the movie!
